I have been here quite a few times for lunch-- from the sound of the other Yelp reviews, I should hit the Happy Hour-- it sounds great!! One of my friends had the steak salad, which she loved, another had a grilled cheese and tomato soup(which for $7.50 was a good deal).. I had a Cobb Salad which was pretty good, but I have had better... Sort of pricey, but nice upscale bar/grill atmosphere with a variety of patrons-- primarily Main Line types having power lunches-- desserts looked great, but we passed... Much better atmosphere than the large dining room- booths along the front of the hotel are nice.

I have been for a few different occasions. Sunday brunch - best on the mainline. Yes, it comes with a high price tag but you get to stuff yourself with amazing cuts of meat, fresh made omelets, chilled seafoods, and endless mimosas. Great way to seal off a weekend. Happy Hour - with half priced drinks and great tasting half priced appetizers its a great deal. Some of the apps are standard and so so but things like the dumplings, humus plate, and especially the cheese steak quesadillas are really great and keep you coming back. And the drinks are really well made. Dinner - I've tasted main courses for my wedding and I've come in just to eat dinner and in both cases everything has been great. From steak to chicken to seafood and even the meatless risotto I've been impressed; in fact I would eat just the risotto and be satisfied without meat and I am a big meat person. I most recently had the fish tacos and they were great - fresh, simple, and done right. Overall - great atmosphere, happy hour is a definite must try, great drinks (especially by bartender Saturday mid-day), and the chef cooks up some fantastic food.

Yeah it wasn't that fantastic. Burger was flavored with bacon, avocado, and all kinds of sauce/flavoring, but the burger itself was completely flat and bland. Also, the hostess, wait staff, water people, etc were all in miserable foul moods and slammed the water down on the table. Especially when we came in, the multiple hostess/waitresses that gathered around the door and just stared at us instead of asking if we wanted a table was weird. It made us feel like we should go elsewhere where we were wanted (we were all polite even to those people). Only one person was smiling and kind to us, a shorter Indian woman, who was the only one who seemed pleased we were there.

Glenmorgan Bar and Grill has the best happy hour on the Main Line. It goes from 5:00-7:00 and all drinks and appetizers are half-priced. We're not talking watered-down cocktails and stale chips and dip. The drinks are well-blended and the bartenders are generous when it comes to their pours. The appetizers are fantastic - heaping platters whose generous portions don't skimp on fresh, quality ingredients. I highly recommend the Irish nachos with kettle chips and applewood-smoked bacon (it's vegetarian if you eat around the bacon), the edamame hummus and the vegetable dumplings. The regular nachos are pretty great too and serve as the perfect accompaniment to a cold beer. Also, they have Bluecoat Gin and any establishment that carries this local, organic brew is worth patronizing. We went for Cinco de Mayo. A group of eight who shared approximately five plates of food and sixteen margaritas. The total at the end of the night? $116.00 That's a great deal anywhere but on the Main Line amidst Range Rovers and debit accounts containing the more than the GDP of Zaire? It's unbelievably good. If you work in the area and haven't hit up Happy Hour yet, you're missing out, so step out of the office, grab a couple of co-workers and head to Glenmorgan.

This used to be one of my favorite HH places. When I say favorite, I mean of all time. They used to have HH Mon-Fri and it included just about everything except bottles of wine and bottles of beer. Now it includes beer, wine, and well drinks and they only have it Mon-Thur. I love their martini's but I'm not paying the 8-12 for them for HH. A nice dinner, yes. HH, no way. This is geographically out of my way and would make the trip for the awesome HH they had, but unfortunately this trip will be my last. Goodbye Glenmorgan, I will miss you after 8 years of patronage.

Happy hour report only: All drinks, draft beers (not bottles, I've been told) are half price. They had Yards IPA on tap, that was good enough for me for $3 per. My friend had a Yuengling Lager for $2, might as well give the shit away for free! The gin selection was minimal, I did not explore the vodka choices as I don't care about vodka. :-P Appetizers at half price, average happy hour cost was about $4 and change per plate. The pizza blew, bad dough, they forgot to add the basil on the brain dead 3 ingredient pizza of just OK sauce, less than good cheese, and basil. The wings were a 5 on a 1-10 scale. The quesadilla was very good, an 8/10. But the calamari was undercooked and flavorless. The service was friendly and attentive, but not knowledgeable, seemed like they were new. Summary: 1/2 priced Drinks 4 stars 1/2 priced Food 2 stars Service 3 stars The atmosphere in the bar was that of any hotel/convention center, 90% men from out of town looking to flirt with the 5% women in the place, and the 5% balance were Villanova fans on their way to a game. I'll return for a few drinks, and then go somewhere else to eat.

Well, I might be giving these guys an extra star compared to the others, but on my first trip today, I had two items. I'm always a sucker for dumplings. So, an order of the pork dumplings kicked off the lunch. They were "ok". Nothing out of the ordinary. I ordered a Cobb Salad for lunch. Seriously, it was the best Cobb Salad I ever had. The turkey was so tender and herbed, all the ingredients were top notch and so fresh, even the bacon ! Some crazy, flavorful REAL bacon. My lunch colleage had his favorite sandwich, a roast pork with spinach and sweet potato fries. So, average appetizer aside, I'm definitely a fan from my first visit.

Glenmorgan Bar and Grille sits right inside the Radnor Hotel in Radnor. I've been there for lunch, dinner, happy hours (not all in the same day). It is a great spot for dinner and better yet, happy hours. Their creative martini menu is worth a look. Seating seems to always be available, so planning dinner at the last minute has never been a problem. The food has been consistently good and the prices are reasonable. The interior is decorated with a very clean and modern look. The waitstaff is very courteous and attentive. Highly recommended.

Glenmorgan Bar and Grill is located in the swanky Radnor Hotel and in an upscale shopping area. Either that or I'm not used to the Main Line area/burbs. The interior is nicely decorated, to the point where I felt a little underdressed. There was a small group of white collar workers there for lunch, what appeared to be a mid-afternoon tryst in the making, and a Main Line hausfrau dressed in the latest casual couture with her best gay friend. So it was to say the least, an interesting assortment of people. I looked at the menu, and my eyes were immediately drawn to the "Glenmonster" burger. From the description it looked potentially delicious, comprised of two 4 oz beef patty melts, avocado, applewood smoked bacon, pickled red onion, aged cheddar cheese, sirachi mayonnaise, toasted brioche, lettuce, tomato with a side of fries. So I ordered it. And then waited. And waited. The waiter was attentive enough to note my annoyance and promised it would be out soon. However, I think I had at least three full glasses of iced tea and made two trips to the bathroom before the burger came out. Unfortunately, the burger didn't live up to its potential. The meat itself was not medium rare as I ordered, but medium. There was way too much avocado on the burger, which masked some of the other ingredients, including the siracha mayonnaise. The pickled onions were good, I will admit. The aged cheddar was either too aged or not enough because I couldn't taste it. The bacon was very overcooked, to the point of being very dry and brittle. The fries were your standard frozen restaurant fries cooked to order. Nothing remarkable. All and all I was disappointed in the Glenmonster burger. For $14 it should have been much better than it was, which was a muddled mess. Service was decent, but I could tell that something was amiss in the kitchen, since it took way too long (about 45 minutes) to get my burger after ordering. This was especially long considering that there were very few people in the restaurant at the time. I'd go back for a happy hour, but its a little too expensive and the quality is lacking in their food for another lunch trip.

Ah, Glenmorgan, I couldn't have asked for a better hotel bar. Your drinks are strong, your bartenders are good and you are open late. That's really all that needs to be said, but on top of meeting my short list of requirements for a good hotel bar, you dealt with my family for several days and for that, you deserve a medal. Being a very popular wedding hotel, I am sure you get your share of cheesy douche bags - I know I saw many from OTHER wedding parties, so your tolerance for obnoxious drunks must be high. You get brownie points for having to deal with those types (dear bride - you actually made the guys wear bright turquoise ties! What a bitch!) Thankfully, those tools must make it easy to deal with REAL drunks, like my family. We aren't loud and annoying...ok, that's probably a lie, but you were kind to us and pour heavy, in spite of our varying degrees of intoxication over the weekend. Good drinks Good food Good service That's rare in a hotel bar, so 4 stars for you!

If you are staying at the Radnor, this place is four stars. If you are just going in for a drink, it drops a little. Good bartenders, decent crowd, solid menu although not inexpensive. Worth a pop-in, but totally a fun place to end the night post-wedding or celebration if you are a guest at the hotel.

I love a good place to have a good cognac, whiskey, or gin. Some place quiet, to reflect upon my day, without too much going on. Something nice relaxing and classy. Glenmorgan epitomizes this place, and transport me to a place where all my baggage are checked in at the door. Being that its located at the Radnor Hotel it makes it easy, ZING! Ok corny joke got it... Nevertheless, when I'm here I feel safe, warm, and comfortable. Nothing in the world can hurt me and no one to bother me. I get my drink and I sit and reflect. Everyone needs their own littler corner of the world to have a good drink, this is it.

Glenmorgan Bar and Grill is located inside of the Radnor Hotel. I went to try it during Main Line restaurant week so they were pretty busy for lunch. The diners were generally older and sat in the main dining room as the bar was completely empty. Our server, Maria, was pleasant and attentive even though she had a lot of tables to attend. I had the Farmer's Market Grilled Vegetable Sandwich which was humongous with a side of sweet potato fries. I liked the overabundance of fresh vegetables with mozzarella. Dessert was okay- a chocolate flourless cake with strawberries. Not the best, not the worst. There's so many other exciting restaurants on the Main Line that I'm not sure if I'd come back. There's something missing from Glenmorgan that would keep me from coming back.

This is not an area (Radnor) I frequent on the regular but I needed a brunch place close to Drexel Hill so we chose the glenmorgan grille. What you won't find: craft beers, vegan options, hung-over city folk. What you will find: an endless buffet of cheeses, salad, fish, pastries, pasta, meats, waffles, omelets, a CHOCOLATE fountain, many types of cake and other desserts, the occasional mainline mom (who had too much work done) and family, bridge/canasta clubs, those dressed in their Sunday best coming from church. Endless coffee and mimosas - definitely a plus but I prefer my dark cavern-like bars for Sunday brunch. Overall, it's a good deal for all the food you get (~30/person).

Gathered with a business networking group to enjoy Glenmorgan's happy hour last night. Because of the size of our party and our advance booking, they were able to set aside a seating area for us in the lounge. The server was friendly and attentive. The prices were an extraordinary value with a wonderful beverage selection and great food: DO NOT miss their Cheesesteak Springrolls and the Calamari! Although I was told that the Swedish meatballs and sliders were also excellent, they were devoured at the other end of the table before I could sample them. I haven't been there for dinner in a while and am reminded that I need to go back.

So there we were, all the way out in Villanova, too far and too hungry to wait until we got back into the city for dinner. Rather than gut it out we decided to grab a bite at Glenmorgan before hitting the highway. Thinking we'd try to eat light we ordered the dumpling appetizer, French onion soup and almond crusted salmon to share. While waiting the server brought out a basket of crackers and rolls with a familiar taste that reminded me of those Pillsbury dough balls that you just pop in the oven. I'm not a huge fan of those rolls, but we were starving and these took the edge off. First to come out were the fried dumplings, which came out in a faux take-out box on a large plate with two dipping sauces. The playful presentation was kind of ironic because I know of a few take-out spots that do it better. I suppose that's a 'shame on me' for ordering Chinese food from a place named Glenmorgan, but then again I wouldn't expect them to put anything on the menu that they don't feel confident enough to serve. The French onion soup was slightly salty but had a good ratio of soup/bread/cheese, which is extremely important. Nobody wants their soup with too much broth or bread, and yes there's such a thing as too much cheese too, but that was not the case here as the kitchen had struck the right balance. The almond crusted salmon was served over pesto gnocchi with saffron cream sauce. The toasted almond slivers added a nice crunch to contrast with the flaky salmon, and soft morsels of gnocchi blended nicely with the cream sauce. Found myself eating the salmon and gnocchi separately, which may have been a mistake on my part since I found the sauce to be a bit salty as well. Overall I'd say it was a solid experience even though we failed in our pursuit of a light meal, as we felt full walking out the door.

We went here for brunch today, based on good ratings and reviews I saw on the Web. I will not go here again, and was angry to have wasted $30 on the (hopefully) forgettable brunch buffet. Firstly, the large, un-cozy dining room is circa 1986--cheap and dated, with cheap tables and bingo-room chairs, and chintzy cheap chandeliers. All that would be acceptable if at least the food was good. Unfortunately the menu was as dated and un-fresh as the dining room. The dishes in the warming trays seemed like frozen dishes that had been reheated, overcooked pieces of meat swimming in sauces. The shrimp on the platter also seemed like it had been cooked, frozen, and then thawed for serving. Ditto for practically everything else. The quality of the food was poor, and the whole menu seemed like it hasn't changed since 1980. It's a shame, because just down the street are other places (Paramour, White Dog Cafe, etc. etc.) where we could have eaten for the same or less and had fresh, flavorful, modern dishes in a nicer setting. At least the free (part of the brunch price) mimosa wasn't bad, and helped wash down the bad food.

The Glenmorgan Bar & Grille sits in the plush Radnor Hotel. It wasn't too crowded when our group of three arrived arrived (it was a Tuesday night). For starters, we shared a pumpkin bisque which was lukewarm but tasty sweet with a crazy consistency (pureed) - reminds me of a butternut squash soup. I ordered a penne pasta with chicken and creme sauce. My dish (a daily special) wasn't good unfortunately. The chicken was dry and the entire dish had to be warmed up. My fellow diners fared worse than I did - one friend's crabcakes were bad and other's salmon was obviously overcooked. While our server (Katie) was excellent under the circumstances, the meal we had wasn't worth what we paid. Not recommended.

I have been to this place twice, and boths times were excellent. The portions are good and the price is great for the amount you get. The food is very tasty and cooked just how you like it. The service was awesome each time, with the waiters being very friendly and knoweledgable about the menu.

Was in there for dinner with a friend. Had been there a while ago and thought it was very good. Wow, have they gone downhill. The food was AWFUL! I had salmon - it was bathed in a sauce that tasted like it was canned, the piece of fish was overcooked and minuscule. Our server was no where to be found. When we spoke to one of the "managers" about our disappointment, he was nonchalant and stated he was sorry for our dislike and he will tell the chef...that's it! Arrogant and unprofessional! Since we live in the area and frequent the establishments here with business associates and friends (many from out of town) we always are happy to make appropriate recommendations. This, I am afraid will not be on our list. The best thing the owners can do is close and start anew. Terrible, from top to bottom, and the staff is deplorable. A major faux pas - do not waste your money on such below par everything.

I cannot say enough great things about this little gem in the equally fantastic Radnor Hotel! I was there for lunch with four other family members and one 3-month old baby. We were seated at a great table with a stand to hold the infant carrier at one end of the table. Our server approached the table right away to offer drinks and menus. After they were delivered, she returned to tell us about their two lunch specials. The menu at Glenmorgan is fantastic. There is truly something for everyone. We placed our orders and our food arrived in a very timely fashion. No long wait which was nice, especially in light of the fact that the restaurant was busy. Our table had two club sandwiches which were served on the most delicious bread; we also had two servings of the "roast beef shorties" with au jus and horseradish sauce on the side - absolutely delicious - and the best kettle potato chips I have ever eaten. Our other diner had a sumptious crab cake served on an onion roll with sweet potato fries. We finished up with a simple plate of fresh-baked cookies to share and some tea. Everyone's lunch was so delicious and we all commented that there were many other items on the menu that we would like to go back and try. Our food and service was first rate....the atmosphere was pleasant: a full dining room, lively but not loud. And you can't beat the location. Glenmorgan does it right....if you haven't been there, what are you waiting for?

Most restaurants inside hotels are forgettable but this is an exception. Glenmorgan has a diverse menu which should make any palate happy. From burgers to lobster rolls. Portion sizes are ample. I found the service to be excellent and thoughtfully friendly. The bar is very busy and there is a happy hour Monday through Friday. Bar service offers a generous pour. Solid service, food, reasonable prices too.

Bad wine selection (see Tips). Bland food - the recipes sounded good, didn't deliver in the mouth. I am not a salt-a-holic by any means but even a slight seasoning of the food would help. I usually give too many 3's and 4's. I finally found a 2. But such a nice hotel .... And the Terrace breakfast was much better.

I was taken here for a birthday brunch and it was FANTASTIC!! I enjoy the craving and omelette stations. The options were plentiful especially with the Mimosa's. It was crowded and lively during my visit and the service was exceptional. As I was waiting for my omelette, I tried the shrimp, the french toast and a small plate of bacon. I was so FULL...that made me disappointed because I couldn't try more items. I would return to check out the happy hour that I have heard about.

Food is good.... If you get there before 10 and order off the regular menu. Bar is fun when the hotel is packed.... Some bar tenders need to be able to socialize a little more. Bar tenders are very loud with the flashing of the trash, dirty dishes, etc. many people under 21 have to sit away from the bar... Which is fine, but uncomfortable to watch when their parents have to leave the bar when they are right under the minimum.

I came here while staying at the attached Radnor hotel. Nice ambiance inside and pleasant outdoor seating as well. I came for dinner and dinned al fresco since it was such a pleasant evening. I got there right before the end of happy hour and so was able to place an order for a half price appetizer. Hummus - roasted garlic hummus, tomatoes, feta cheese, baba- ghanoush, Kalamata olives, crisp parmesan flatbread. For a hotel restaurant It was much nicer than I was expecting (especially at half price). The Hummus was creamy and well seasoned and came with truly excellent summer tomatoes. The baba-ghanoush was also good (not sure if it's made in house). A great start to the meal. For the main couse I ordered the Fish taco's - golden fried mahi-mahi, black bean corn salsa, cilantro sour cream, fresh guacamole, pico de gallo, tri-color tortilla chips. The Tacos were great with crisp fish (though not oily) topped with a cabbage slaw and the corn salsa. I don't think the guac was made fresh in house, looked like it was out of a container. I came back the following morning for breakfast before checking out. For $15 they were offering a breakfast buffet with hard boiled eggs, fresh fruit, oat meal, yogurt, cold cereal, and an assortment of muffins and toast. As I said, overall much nicer than I was expecting. Good job guys!

Updating my review after they updated their happy hour specials. My bffski and I used to come here like 1-2 times every week for happy hour, despite the fact that it took us each at least 20-30 minutes to get here. Old happy hour was simply amazing - 50% off everything. Any drink you wanted, and any appetizer. This was such a good deal mostly for their specialty cocktails which are typically priced between $10 and $13ish. And their appetizers which are more expensive than appetizers at other bars. New happy hour only includes beer, wine, and most appetizers I believe. Now, this is obviously fine because bars are not required to have happy hours at all. And their cocktail list is always inventive and drinks are made really well and pretty strong. So if you live on the Main Line and can afford to pay 30-40 bucks for drinks during happy hour, this is your place. But now there is nothing even close to an incentive for us regular people to drive down 476 to visit ever again. Half priced beers and half priced expensive wines? No thanks. If I want a beer, I can drive down the road a few minutes and save myself the gas money. This restaurant is such an expensive place normally, there's no way I'd be able to afford full price here. The only time I've been back since they deformed their happy hour was to splurge on a New Year's Eve package with my boyfriend. We spent several hundred dollars on a room and a multi-course dinner. The hotel room was fine, but on the small side. Unfortunately, my boyfriend's scallops were not cooked properly and we were both up half the night caring for his food poisoning. Mentioned it to the front desk on our way out the next morning, and no one ever contacted us. Obviously food poisoning is a rare case, and can happen to anyone, but this was just the last straw. I miss you, old happy hour. :(

Don't go here. Just don't. Well, unless you like bland food. You know when you go to a restaurant and the food is just so bad that it ruins your night? Well, this place is disappointment central. We ordered the French Onion Soup, the Margherita Pizza, and the Pork Pot Stickers. When they arrived, we were starving. After the first couple of bites, we were shocked that food that seemed to be reasonably presented and delicious-looking from the online pictures was c-o-m-p-l-e-t-e-l-y devoid of flavor. We decided to keep the alcoholic bebidas flowing to 1) maintain our buzz 2) get drunker so the food would taste better, and 3) be less agitated at our impending $70+ bill. I won't go into critiquing the service at this point, but it was less than stellar as well. Just know that if Tom Hanks had had his welcome back dinner at Glenmorgan after escaping the island in Cast Away, he probably would have preferred starvation.

The service was terrible. Had a wedding here at the Radnor Hotel and it was terrible. Do not waste your money. The price we paid for what my wife and Ingot was shit. The food was cold, more people were cleaning up than giving us appetizers. The steak was horrible. Cold and over cooked. Save your time and go elsewhere in the area. Weddings are a business and this place is trash.

Drinks were ok, nothing special but bartenders are NUTS. act too pretentious for such a not great location....acted better than us and went out of their way to make sure we did not have a good time (That's what it seemed like) Couldnt make basic drinks because they "weren't allowed" If Im willing to pay you and tip you, you should be willing to make my drink!! New team would be exceptional

I was so looking forward to this brunch when I knew we were going to a hotel buffet with unlimited champagne and mimosas (birthday brunch). What's there not to love right!! Well, don't come here around 1:30pm because when things runs out....they really don't bother to refill since it's close to the end of brunch (3pm). I literally picked out the last 5 shrimp from the salad bar and didn't even get to try some of the other items. For 30 bucks....it really was a disappointment. The unlimited champagne (think I ordered 5) was the best part of the brunch! I was so mad that I forgot to take pix of the food. They did have live jazz playing in the background but we sat so far so we barely heard it. Don't think I will come back here any time soon and we love to spend money on brunch....bummer!

if you haven't had a lobster roll in the area - please come here! My husband and I went for happy hour and managed to grab a table outside. Great attentive service as well as half off glasses of wine and happy hour food menu. The signature cocktails were amazing. I love the Amerijito - watermelon! Refreshing and quitely sneaks up on you, so be careful when downing these delicious drinks! My husband ordered the wings and they fell a little short on the flavor side. However like I said before - the lobster roll. Come for the Lobster Roll! We will def return!

Dinner here was a terrible experience, for several reasons. Before we even sat down, we were at the host stand to check in, and to tell them that our party was there and would be waiting at the bar. The host walked by several times and didn't even acknowledge us. After about 5 or 6 minutes, he finally asked us what we wanted - and spoke to us as if we were an inconvenience to him and his entire way of life. Despite the fact that we had a reservation, we had to wait an additional 15-20 minutes to be seated because they mixed up our reservation. The waitress was inattentive (at least until we finally said something). The host and manager were totally rude. We waited half an hour before we finally flagged someone down so we could order drinks, and then only got our bread as our first course started coming out. The apps were cold, and weren't served at the same time. I wouldn't recommend this place for dinner. The food was totally sub par. To top it off they actually included gratuity, which they certainly didn't deserve. I'd definitely skip this place.

This review is all about an amazing Happy Hour! I've been here for other things but the Happy Hour should delight just about everybody. By the way it's 5-7 pm. So the deal is half priced drinks and half priced appetizers. Sounds kind of normal so far but it's absolutely not. We're not talking well drinks here we are talking everything. Feel free to have a premium martini at half price. Want a glass of very nice wine; half price. Ditto for the appetizers. Everything is beautifully presented and delicious. The other aspect of this Happy Hour that's great are the bartenders. Kudos to the management for hiring some amazing people. The icing on the cake is the bar itself. It's beautiful and comfortable. This Happy Hour is not new. It's been around for many years and plenty of folks "in the know" on the mainline are tuned into it. A quick note to folks not from the area. If you are on Route 476 (Blue Route), it's less than two minutes off the Radnor/Route 30 exit.

The brunch has always been amazing. Many choices of breakfast or lunch items. Great service. Piano music! A chocolate fountain for the kids, my excuse to enjoy it. I have been there at all times and they have never ran low on food as one had said. Free mimosa's to boot.

This was a 4 star place just a little while ago. They used to have a half price happy hour on weekdays, which included all of the very good cocktails they make. Now it only covers beer, wine, and appetizers that are already overpriced. I went for a sit down meal recently. I ordered a soup, fillet with scallops, and cake. None of it was particularly notable. For a $45 per plate meal, I've been more satisfied at other places. The scallops weren't cooked evenly, so I didn't finish it. Was VERY sick a few hours later

The brunch is way overpriced. The only plus is the mimosas that is about it. For $70 dollars you get sub par food that you could get at a Denny's. Save your money and go somewhere better.
